SPRING TRAINING ROUND-UP
05.05.02-MEMPHIS (ss) 3, SASKATOON (ss) 2
Dennis Komassa (0-1) pitched a 2-hit, 11 strikeout gem but a three-run third was all that Bryan Johnson (2-0) needed.  Johnson scattered two runs on three hits over a complete game victory and added 11 strikeouts of his own to the fray.

CONEY ISLAND (ss) 19, DAYTONA (ss) 6 (F/4 INN)
Matt Rewasiewicz hit 7 homeruns and knocked in 19 runs as the Coney Island Chloe Sox (1-0) opened up exhibition play against the Daytona Dirty Sox (0-1).  Rewasiewicz was throwing a no-hitter through three and a third until Mandy Block hit her first homerun of the spring and later added an RBI single and RBI double but Daytona still fell short.

SASKATOON (ss) 9, QUAD CITY (ss) 4
Dennis Komassa (1-0) earned his first victory of the spring with a complete game three hitter.  Komassa's only problems were in the fourth when all four Quad City (0-1) runs were plated highlighted by Kevin Matusek's first two homers of the spring.  Komassa also added four homeruns for the victorious Plaid Sox.

MEMPHIS 9, QUAD CITY (ss) 0
Vince Farina (2-0) threw a no-hitter for the Memphis Blue Sox (2-0) who continue their torrid spring.  Fourteen of fifteen outs were via the strikeout and Farina was one walk away from a perfect game.  Bryan Johnson hit his eight, ninth and tenth homers of the spring while Vince Farina added numbers three and four for the Blue Sox who downed Quad City (0-2).  Kevin Matusek (0-2) took the loss, his second of the spring.
